OTHER DROP-IN SESSIONS

We do have some drop-in sessions run by other organisations such as Brighton Natural Health Centre who offer a Free yoga class for refugee, asylum-seeking and migrant women  every Friday at the BMECP from  11.15am – 12.15 pm.

The classes are taught by Jen Henwood, who has been teaching Iyengar Yoga for 15 years. Jen says  “In my classes, I aim to provide a supportive and friendly environment. Students are encouraged to work according to their own ability, in order to realise their full potential and to experience the many benefits of yoga.”

Iyengar Yoga is characterised by its emphasis on correct alignment, sequencing of postures, safety and progression. We use props, such as blocks, belts and chairs, so that students of all abilities are able to overcome their difficulties and realise their
potential.
