BME Elders Activities

BMECP has received some funding from the Big Lottery Fund which involves working with Black and minority ethnic elders (BME) elders (50 plus). Are you a BME Elder?
Do you have any BME elders in your family?
Do you know any BME elders in your community or neighbourhood?

If ‘Yes’ then we would like to hear from you.

We are keen that BME elders, who are often isolated, get an opportunity to meet regularly with other elders on a regular basis in a safe and welcoming environment for activities which might include the following:

  • Luncheon club
  • Exercise classes
  • Games
  • Outings to local places of interest
  • Annual Event

The BME Elders group meets at:

BMECP Centre

10A Fleet Street

Brighton

BN1 4ZE

We can also offer the following:

  • Signposting to appropriate services and other BME Elders Groups
  • Information on other local services
BMECP is also working with other agencies on a LifeLines programme targeting BME elders who are over 50 years. This programme promotes healthy ageing. Please contact Hanan Mansi or Doris Ndebele to find out more about the above or to give us the BME Elders contact details on:
