ThePatient and Carer Race Equality Framework(PCREF)is a mandatory framework for NHS mental health Trusts and service providers, designed to address racial inequalities in mental health services. It aims to improve services for racialised communities by promoting diversity, co-production, and equity, while also increasing transparency and accountability in the mental health sector.
The aim of this engagement event is to share what we believe we understand about people’sexperiences of our services, whether as service users or carers, and to hear directly from you about whether we’ve got it right, or if we’ve missed something important. It’s also an opportunity to answer your questions, challenge common myths about mental health services, share clear information on how to access support, and—most importantly—start building trust.
We’re pleased that Sussex Partnership’sChief Executive, Dr Jane Padmore, andChief Medical Officer, Dr Oliver Dale, will be joining us at the start of the event to show their support for this important conversation. We see this as the beginning of an ongoing dialogue—one where we listen, learn, and work together to improve our services. We warmly invite you to be part of shaping a more inclusive and equitable mental health service for our communities.
Refreshments and a hot lunch will beprovided
