SUMMARY:Fostering Pathways Programme - Cohort 2
DESCRIPTION:Fostering Pathways: a 10-week programme empowering BME families to support\n\n\nThis is a 10-week programme for BME families and individuals who want to learn and explore how to become foster carers. \n\n\n\n\nFostering Pathways: A 10-week programme empowering Black\, Minority and Ethnic communities (BME) families to support children who need culturally understanding homes \nThere is a profound need for foster carers who understand the cultural\, religious\, and identity needs of BME children in care. Many BME families face unique barriers or misconceptions regarding the fostering process. Furthermore\, BME children in care are placed in homes that don’t reflect their culture\, identity\, or faith. You could change that! We provide a safe space to discuss faith perspectives\, cultural identity\, and the practicalities of opening your home to a child in need. \nThis programme\, hosted by BMECP\, is your roadmap to understanding the UK fostering system and deciding if this rewarding journey is right for your family. \nJoin us at the BMECP Centre on 9th September 2026 at 5:30 pm (BST) for a relaxed and friendly event all about supporting BME communities through fostering. \nWhether you’re curious or already involved\, this is a great chance to meet others\, ask questions\, and learn more about the programme. Don’t miss out on connecting with people who care and making a real difference together! \nPlease note: This is a 10-week programme on 9th September 2026\, running every Wednesday.\nFor more information\, please click on the link: Fostering Pathways – BMECP Centre
